FAQ
Q: Are ponds a lot of work?
A: The simple answer is 'depends'. A poorly designed pond can be an eyesore and a headache. A well-designed bio-filtration system pond, once established, can be low maintenance delight. I suggest you think of them as a garden - a water garden. Without establishing bacteria, plants, invertabrates etc, a pond is like a piece of tilled soil - weeds move in. By incorporating bio-springs or bio-falls as well as planted bogs, adequate circulation and aeration a pond can become a easy care showplace with pet Koi and dazzling waterliies, lotus and iris.
